Pas mal

PAS MAL, published by Walkscapes (www.walkscapes.net) is a collection of 200 photos by Celeste Tellarini, all taken in Brussels between 2019 and 2026, presenting the city’s daily encounters, details and scenes of ordinary life.

PAS MAL originated from an obsessive documentation of what Celeste was noticing, from a spontaneous fascination with what often goes unseen and from a stubbornness that stretched a habit into seven years. The main purpose of this series is not only to present a city through fragments, details and situations, but to celebrate the act of noticing itself.

It is a process of revaluation of the ordinary and of beige places, but also of unplanned human inventions, and of unexpected contrasts and coexistences.
